About Chasing 56

Why should anybody be Chasing 56?

This legendary hitting streak established by Yankee great Joe DiMaggio is one of those “it will never be broken” records. I believe nothing is unattainable if you have the correct mindset and training.

My goal is to help everyone involved in sports: current athletes, parents of athletes, coaches, and retired athletes, elevate to the best version of themselves on and off the field by focusing on mental performance and providing the best performance optimization for athletes.

This extra attention to all things surrounding mental performance has helped the athletes I work with navigate past obstacles, comfort zones, and areas of frustration while helping them enjoy the journey of being an athlete.

On my path to the major leagues, I was able to learn many skills, both mentally and physically, to help me produce and grind my way to the major leagues.

I played 1,284 combined major and minor league regular season games with a lifetime .799 OPS and played 7 years in the minors before making my debut in the MLB.

My individual tailored one on one mentor and mental performance coaching is only an email away.

What PEOPLE say

Let’s Hear From Some Athletes

Working with former MLB player Mike Edwards was a great decision.  He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.  He helped me understand the importance of judging my performance and effort instead of only focusing on outcomes all the time.  Using his techniques to get my mind right before games truly helped me play the game more fearlessly, no matter the situation.

“Working with Coach Mike before my Junior year was one of the best things for my career I could have done. I was always told I was too smart for my own good by my Coaches and often let the game speed me up. Coach Mike helped me simplify my thought process and game plan. This helped me slow the game down and was key to having a League MVP and Record-breaking year in my Junior year of high school. For any athlete interested in enhancing their mental game, I highly recommend working with Coach Mike to give you a serious edge when playing.
